Paul Gula Jr. 1929-2025

BOARDMAN — Paul Gula Jr., 96, of Boardman, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at Hampton Woods.
He was born May 2, 1929, in Youngstown, a son of Paul Gula Sr. and Dorothy Ohkanic Gula.
Paul was a graduate of Chaney High School and attended YSU.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was the quarterback for the Army football team.
He worked for McKelvey’s and Stouss’ as a manager and he also worked for Sheely’s.
He enjoyed golfing with his neighbors, playing cards and traveling with his wife and friends, Bev and Pat.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Dolores, whom he married on July 1, 1950; son, Gary (Susan) Gula; daughter, Jayne (Greg) Boland; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Gula; and grandchildren, Mark and Tanya Gula.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Gula, and his siblings, John, Charles, Michael, Frank, Nick, Steve, Helen and Anne.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, OH 44512.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at the church.
Paul will be laid to rest in St. John Cemetery, Lowellville.
