Nancy C. DeFabio 1939-2025

Nancy was born Aug. 22, 1939, in Huntington, W.Va., the daughter of Maxie Lee and Lucille Schrader Thompson Sr.

Nancy was a 1957 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School.

She had a strong work ethic, which showed in her 40-plus years working for both Syro Steel, Girard, and Lane Metal, Pulaski, Pa.

She was a member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, and the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Nancy enjoyed her morning coffee while reading the newspaper. She was an avid reader, enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, Dominick, and was always dressed to the nines.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dominick DeFabio, whom she married Jan. 31, 1959; and her brother, Maxie Lee Thompson Jr.

She will be sadly missed by a daughter, Denise Bliss of Niles; two grandchildren, Damaris Lopez (Luke) of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Dane Bliss (Cassi) of Hobe Sound, Florida; and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Lopez.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
