Linda J. Joerndt DePillo 1957-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Linda DePillo, 67, also known as “Aunt Linda” to many, passed away peacefully, Monday July 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept.14, 1957, and raised in Youngstown. She was the loving daughter of Carl and Louise Haught Joerndt and was married to her loving husband Cliff DePillo for 33 years.

Linda attended St. Dominic’s Catholic School and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1975. She went through high school with her lifelong best friend, Terry Appugliese Fagan.

After high school, she worked as a dental assistant and office manager until she retired.

Linda and Cliff started their life together in Campbell. After many years of living in the Youngstown area, the two resided off the Gulf Coast of Punta Gorda, Florida. They spent many Sunday afternoons sitting at South Jetties Beach in Venice, Florida.

She recently moved back to the Youngstown area to live close to family and friends.

Linda’s love for her family and friends was immeasurable. She was everyone’s caring sister, aunt, cousin and trusted friend.

Linda was a hard worker, loved to travel and was an avid Santa collector.

Linda will be dearly missed by many friends and siblings, Ken (Colleen) Joerndt, William (Anna) Joerndt and Jeff Joerndt; many nieces and nephews, Amy, Grace and David Park, Gretchen Anderson, Jaime Connolly and Kenny Joerndt, Nicole Tarr, Jessica and Amanda Joerndt, and Connor Joerndt; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Owen Park-Wheeler, Shane and Brendan Connolly, Lark Villinski, Isabella, Marisa and Brian Tarr-Majirsky, Kenny and Bristol Joerndt.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her care team at the Hope Center for Cancer Care, Patriot Home Care, and Mercy Health Boardman for the continued support and comfort.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sibling, Carla Joerndt Park.

Family and friends may call 9 to 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave. Youngstown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, celebrated by the Rev. Charles Connolly.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family has requested material tributes be given in Linda’s memory to the Hope Center for Cancer Care, 835 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, OH 44514.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
