Josephine P. Williams 1960-2025

She was born March 17, 1960, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Frances Dorante Sferra.

Josie was a 1979 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and a devoted homemaker.

She enjoyed crocheting, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing bingo and especially spending time with her family.

Josie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Raymond E. Williams Jr., whom she married July 3, 1996; her daughter, Harley (Kodie Houtz) Williams; brothers, Bobby (Lynn) Sferra and Andrew Sferra; and cats, Leo, Chevy and Licorice.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest “Buzzy” Sferra, and aunt, Jennie Dorante.

Family and friends may call 10 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m.

Josie will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
