Jean A. Korhely 1945-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Jean Anne Korhely, 79, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025.

Jean was born Oct. 1, 1945, in Youngstown, the daughter of Michael and Maria Vincenza Pangio.

Jean worked as a pharmacy technician for Village Pharmacy in New Middletown and Wilkinson Pharmacy. She was an active member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church.

Jean was passionate about reading, going to the YMCA, watching old movies and taking long walks in the park, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Jean was caring and selfless, and her love of life and sense of humor were immeasurable. Jean’s warm and vibrant personality affected everyone she ever met. It was impossible to have known her and not love her.

Jean will always be remembered lovingly by her husband, Robert J. Korhely Sr., whom she married May 11, 1968; two sons, Robert Joseph Jr. (Christina) Korhely and John Angelo (Summer) Korhely; two grandchildren, Hunter and Peyton; and sister, Anita Palocyi.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Ward and Theresa Aaron; and three brothers, Dan, Angelo and Jay Pangio.

The family will receive relatives and friends 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by funeral services at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica in Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Monsignor John Zuraw J.C.L, VG presiding.
