Jacqueline DeBucci 1947-2025

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Jacqueline A. “Jackie” DeBucci, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025.

Jackie was born on Sept. 12, 1947, in Youngstown, the daughter of Jack P. and Josephine A. Smrek Kemper.

Jackie, the beloved wife of Rich for 58 years, left behind a legacy of love and laughter.

She was a published author, releasing her book, “The Spirits Behind Me,” in 2018. This was a testament to her lifelong passion for writing and reading. Jackie found immense joy in the quiet hours spent with a good book and in crafting her own stories. Above all, she doted on her family.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Rich; five children, Chrissy, Rick, Greg, Dawn and Nicole; and her 10 cherished grandchildren, Claire, Kyle, Jessica, Bridget, Nick, Carter, Jack, Ben, Brooke and Mallory. Jackie is also survived by her loving siblings, Paul, MaryJo, Patrice, Hope and Victoria.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin.

Jackie’s life was a vibrant tapestry, and in celebration of the colorful person she was, the family kindly requests that those attending her services wear yellow, her favorite color, or bright colors.

Friends and family may pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in New Middletown. Due to construction, please use the rear entrance.

A luncheon will follow the Mass.

The family will not be holding a procession to the cemetery.

Following Mass, Jackie will be laid to rest at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, in Canfield, where loved ones may visit and remember her.
