Howard E. Austin 1949-2025

He was born Dec. 8, 1949, in Youngstown, to the late Howard and the late Elsie Irene Mansfield Austin.

Gene was a 1967 graduate of Boardman High School, honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired from Continental Airlines after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his siblings, Carole J. Kosa of Hubbard and David W. (Diane) Austin of Canfield, and nephew, William C. Schwartz of West Middlesex, Pa.

According to Gene’s wishes, he will be laid to rest in a private burial in Lake Park Cemetery with his parents.
