Gertrude A. Greco 1928-2025

She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Youngstown, to Andrew and Gertrude Mika.

A dedicated homemaker, Gertrude was married to the love of her life, Rocco Greco, on Nov. 27, 1948. They shared 47 years of marriage until his passing in 1995.

Gertrude will be remembered for her love of life and her famous spaghetti sauce and cinnamon rolls, which were enjoyed by all who knew her. She was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns, and enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, playing bingo and cards, and visiting casinos.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Gabriel, Diane Caye, and Linda Simmons and husband, Ken; and her son, Rocky Greco and wife, Janet. She had nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rocco; her four brothers, Edward, Joseph, Bobbie and John; and sons-in-law, Chuck Caye and Tom Gabriel.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at Schiavone Funeral Home, officiated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin.

Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service.
