Stephen B. Molnar Jr. 1953-2025

EAST PALESTINE — Stephen B. Molnar Jr., 72, passed away, surrounded by his family, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital from complications of cancer.
He was born Jan. 26, 1953, in Youngstown, a son of the late Stephen and Marion Schneider Molnar. He graduated from Boardman High School in 1971 and enlisted in the United States Army in 1972, ultimately retiring from the Reserve as a sergeant 1st class in 2001. He then earned his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in law enforcement administration in 1985 and completed Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training in 1988.
He spent his career in a variety of roles, but worked longest at Modern Builders, beginning in 1993, and later at Butech Bliss, where he worked from November 2007 until January 2025. He was known for his loyalty, dependability, determination to get the job done and for his pride in his sons.
After a brief engagement, he married his soulmate, Linda Agnew, on Oct. 8, 1988. Their nearly 37 years of marriage were filled with love, laughter and shared purpose as they raised their sons and built a life together. They enjoyed traveling across the country, turning road trips into cherished memories and discovering joy together wherever they were. Their love story was a beautiful journey of commitment, family and adventure.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Linda; his sons, Jordan and James Molnar; his sister, Debby (Kenny) Orr; brothers, Jeff (Sue) and Greg (Kim) Molnar; brother-in-law, Thomas Agnew; his in-laws, Fran and Bill Agnew; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Shayla Molnar; his sister, Karen, and husband, Joe Orr; and a great niece, Kailyn Orr.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A memorial celebration of life will be held in the future.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, material contributions be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in his honor.
