Robert J. Bizzarri 1928-2025
YOUNGSTOWN — Born March 25, 1928, in Youngstown, Robert J. Bizzarri passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Briarfield Manor.
A proud graduate of The Rayen School and a U.S. Army veteran, Bob — affectionately known as “Buzzy” — was a lifelong sports enthusiast and devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He especially enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, long walks and attending ball games, and was proud to have been the 1938 marble champion of Youngstown.
Bob is survived by his brother, Ronald (Judy) Bizzarri; nieces, Karen (Patrick) Timlin, Nancy (Brian) Bizzarri-Alleman and Anne Marie Bizzarri; nephew, David (Ashley) Bizzarri; great-nephews, Owen (Kathryn) Timlin and Neal Timlin; great-great-nephew, Robert Anthony Bizzarri; great-great-niece, Brooke Bizzarri; and great-great-nieces, Josephine, Amelia and Valerie Timlin. He also is survived by his beloved cousin, Marlene Bizzarri.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Antonio and Josephine Milano Bizzarri; his older brother, Anthony Bizzarri; sister-in-law, Mary Bizzarri; and nephew, Patrick Timlin.
Bob will be forever loved and missed. His family will always remember his jokes, heartfelt stories, kindness and unwavering generosity. He truly was the best uncle in the world.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
