Mary A. Fox 1968-2025

BOARDMAN — Mary A. Fox passed away at her residence, Saturday, July 19, 2025.
She was born Feb. 29, 1968, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late James E. and Nancy A. Johnston Fox, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mary attended St. Charles grade school and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1986. She graduated from Youngstown State University in 1998 with a degree in political science.
She worked at Oasis Music Store during her high school and college years; her job was very influential in her life. Mary also worked at the Wick Pollock Inn and for many years for Tom James Clothier.
She was a lover of the arts and rock ‘n’ roll. She was always driven to speak up for those who couldn’t, had a real compassion for the human condition and was a lover of pets. She was a vivacious personality, a fixture in local culture and a friend to many from early childhood to the current day.
Mary and her family were longtime parishioners of St. Charles Church and St. Dominic Church.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, brothers, George E. Fox of Canfield and Timothy J. Fox of Boardman; her nieces, Emily (Cameron) Wright and Lynn (Mark) Klein; and her great-nephews and great-niece, Benjamin, Nathan, Noah and Lily.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Edward J. and Molly Fox, and George and Anna Johnston; and sister-in-law, Terry Fox.
Family and friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown, celebrated by the Rev. Frassati Davis.
Private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like material tributes to be given to Animal Charity, 4140 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
