Loretta Smith 1940-2025

Loretta was born Feb. 11, 1940, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of Patsy and Jennie Lombardo Ferrare.

Her husband, Albert P. Smith, passed away Sept. 24, 2023.

Loretta will be sadly missed by her family: her children, Terry (George) Petrusko of Hubbard, Patti Smith of Hubbard and Albert (Cyndi) Smith of Lordstown; three grandchildren, Joshua Petrusko, Adam Smith and Zachary Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Eden Smith. She also leaves her sister, Patricia (Skip) Loader of New Castle, Pa.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter, Loren Mistovich, two brothers and six sisters.

Loretta was a woman of faith and great wisdom – always putting others before herself. She enjoyed shopping and lunch on Thursdays while keeping up with the latest fashion and always looked fantastic! One of her many talents was designing floral arrangements for all occasions and she made the best bows. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Special thanks to Dr. Howard Slemons, who took care of our mother for over 30 years with love and compassion, and to her sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Skip, who were always there helping in every way.

Our Mother is home in her mansion.

To honor Loretta’s wishes, no funeral service or calling hours will be held.
