Loretta J. Mackey 1943-2025

Loretta was born Jan. 24, 1943, in Youngstown, a daughter of Harry and Loretta Balsinger. She married Robert W. Mackey on Feb. 18, 1994.

Loretta owned and operated her florist shop, Bittersweet Florist, for many years. She then worked as a floral designer at Michael’s for 13 years and was awarded top designer while working there.

Loretta leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert; a daughter, April Brown of McDonald; five grandchildren, Cody Stacy, Chase Stacy, Cierra Rasile, Ashley Brown and Carmen Burke; and one great-granddaughter.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Christy and Colin Brown; and two brothers, Harry and David Balsinger.

Per Loretta’s wishes, there will be no services.
