Joyce A. Kistler 1942-2025

VIENNA — Joyce Ann Kistler, 83, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at The Inn at Walker Mill, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Warren, a daughter of Robert Russell and Glennes Lovisa Elser Baldwin. Joyce was a 1960 graduate of Maplewood High School.

At the young age of 19, she married Thomas H. Kistler on June 30, 1961, and made their first home in Mecca. They then moved to Vienna, where they resided in the same home for over 60 years.

Thomas passed away Oct. 20, 2022.

She worked at Packard until her children were born. Once her family was grown, she was a school bus driver for the Matthews School District, retiring after more than 20 years of service.

Joyce was a member of Vienna Presbyterian Church

Joyce loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and also loved her cat, Stella. She also loved music, was an avid gardener, liked to read, and collected Hummel figurines and antique glassware.

Joyce will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her daughters, Jane (Bob) Davidson of Canfield, Jill Joseph of St. Augustine, Florida, and Lynda (Don) Feren of Canfield; six grandchildren, Brooke, Raquel, Morgan, Jordan, Drew and Jamie; and three great-grandchildren, Rowan, Colton and Raya. She also leaves her sisters, Sandy Barthel of Illinois and Nancy Lesh of Wisconsin.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Eric Joseph; brother, Bobby Baldwin; and sister, Donna Kinderman.

There will be services 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025, with calling hours 10 to 11 a.m., at Kyle Funeral Homes, Vienna Chapel, 4471 Warren Sharon Road, Vienna, OH 44473.
