Helen L. Bayus 1931-2025

BROOKFIELD – Helen Louise Bayus, 93, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Shepherd of the Valley in Girard.

Helen was born Nov. 3, 1931, in Brookfield, a daughter of the late John and Suzanna Lustch Kroner.

She was a proud 1949 graduate of Brookfield High School and, shortly after, married the love of her life, Thomas E. Bayus Sr., on June 4, 1949. Together, they built a beautiful family.

Helen worked for 27½ years at Packard Electric before retiring in 1991. She was an active and devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hubbard and a part of the Hubbard senior citizens group, The Happy Wanderers.

She found great joy in spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Her deep love for her family and her kind, nurturing spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Thomas (Diane) Bayus Jr., Barbara (John) Campbell, David (Bernadine) Bayus and Deborah Bayus; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas E. Bayus Sr., who passed away Sept. 6, 1967; her son, Daniel Bayus; step-granddaughter, Erica Million; and her siblings, John, Mike, George, Edward, William and Richard Kroner, and Marie Holt and Rose Morrison.

Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes – Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the funeral home, with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Bonnie Dutton.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband and son in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
