Donna J. Koonse 1945-2025
CANFIELD — Donna Jean Seidner Koonse passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, following a brief illness. Her family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden passing.
Born Sept. 22, 1945, in New Springfield, Donna was the daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Seidner. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is remembered by many for her kindness, strength and generous heart.
A 1963 graduate of Springfield Local High School, Donna retired from JCPenney after many dedicated years of service. She found great joy in cooking and baking, and especially cherished every moment spent with her beloved granddaughter, Sophia. Her unwavering devotion to her family and those she loved left a lasting legacy of love, resilience and warmth.
Donna is survived by her husband, John S. Koonse; her daughter, Diana Isaacs; her son, Scott Koonse (Tricia Hartley) of Pennsylvania; her cherished granddaughter, Sophia Isaacs; and her sisters, Coral Musguire and Charlotte Jackson. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Seidner, and her sister, Shirley Bokanovich.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.
Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
