Curtis Edward ‘Ed’ Gibbs Jr. 1958-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Curtis Edward “Ed” Gibbs Jr., 67, formerly of Warren, passed away Tuesday morning, July 22, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman, following a brief illness.
Ed was born June 26, 1958, in Warren, a son of the late Curtis E. Gibbs Sr. and Arlene Armstrong Gibbs, and Curtis Edward ‘Ed’ Gibbs Jr. was a lifelong area resident.
He was a graduate of Warren Harding High School and owned and operated Gibbs Delivery Service for most of his life before working as a truck driver for Service Guide, from where he retired in 2019.
Ed had been a member of the Buckeye Van Association since the age of 18. Known for his sense of humor and as a bit of a jokester, Ed especially enjoyed Halloween and took great pride in cheering on his grandchildren. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Matthew) Stellato of Canfield; his beloved grandchildren, Jocelyn and Cayden Stellato; five sisters, Kaye, Janie, Alice, Ginger and Natalie; two brothers, William and Kevin; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a sister, Vicki, and a brother, David.
Family and friends may gather to pay respects from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m.
