Makala M. Gasparek 1989-2025

BOARDMAN — Makala Marie Gasparek, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, was sent to her eternal home on Monday, June 2, 2025.
She was born June 17, 1989, the daughter of Darius Gasparek and Teresa Palik-Gasparek.
Makala was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives she impacted.
Those who knew Makala will remember her for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, her deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. She had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.
Makala and her sisters were all born on the same day, June 17. This was a special bond between her and her sisters. Makala was an avid athlete who always strived to be the best. Aside from sports she found her passion for animals, especially dogs. She wanted to help and save every dog that came in her path.
Makala is survived and forever cherished by her parents, Darius Gasparek and Teresa Palik Gasparek; two sisters, Mechee (Jeff) Thomas and Miah (Colby) Clayton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who meant so much to her. Her memory will also live on with her nieces and nephews who adored her, Luke, Logan, Liam, Levi, Fallon and Lincoln.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10 to 10:50 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman.
A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Brian Cline.
Burial will take place privately with her family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newton Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Pet Lodge USA of Boardman, 8063 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512; or St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, OH 44512.
