Lucille J. Crocetti 1932-2025

LOWELLVILLE — Lucille Jane Crocetti, 92, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at The Inn at Poland Way, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Dec. 5, 1932, in Lowellville, Lucille was the daughter of the late Angelo and Caroline Marriotti Crocetti. A proud graduate of Lowellville High School, she remained a lifelong resident of Lowellville, living in the home where she was born and raised.
She devoted her life to her family, faith and community.
Lucille worked as a secretary at Bessemer Cement Company for more than 40 years and later served with Ohio Jobs and Family Services in Mahoning County for 10 years before retiring. She was known for her dedication, professionalism and warm spirit throughout her career. She developed lasting relationships with her co-workers.
A devout Catholic, Lucille was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Lowellville, where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Mount Carmel Ladies Guild and participated in the Mount Carmel bocce league. She enjoyed golfing and belonged to a women’s golf league.
Lucille found great joy in the simple pleasures of life — traveling to her homeland, Italy, with her sister, Pauline, bowling, playing bingo, and enjoying card games with family and friends. Her warm presence, kind heart and vibrant personality made her a cherished member of every gathering.
She is survived by two nephews, Dr. John A. (Lisa) Esarco of Canfield and Dr. David P. Esarco of Poland; three nieces, Janet A. (David) Sypert of Poland, Diane (Gary) Smaldino of Boardman and Karen (Michael) Pecchia of Boardman; a sister-in-law, Mary Crocetti of Struthers; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews who will carry her memory forward with love.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline Crocetti, and Frances, and brother-in-law, Jack Esarco; her brother, John Crocetti; and a nephew, Tommy Crocetti.
Family and friends may call 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 131 E. Wood Street in Lowellville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., celebrated by Fr. John Jerek.
Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Lowellville.
Lucille’s family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate nurses and staff at The Inn at Poland Way, Patriot Hospice and to Dr. Santuccio Riccairdi and his team for their devoted care and support.
Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill Street in Lowellville.
