John D. Deiger 1952-2025

BROOKFIELD — John David Deiger, of Brookfield, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, while a patient Shepherd of the Valley, Liberty Township, following a period of declining health. He was 73.
John was born Jan. 8, 1952, in Salem, a son to Charles E. and Mildred M. Barnhouse Deiger.
He graduated from Columbiana High School in 1970 and furthered his education at Walden University, where he received both a bachelor and master’s degree in nursing.
John retired after a rewarding career as a registered nurse.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, especially to Mexico.
Survivors include his daughters, Joleen (Brandon) Bunner of Leetonia, Sarah Deiger of Ashtabula and Emily (Jake) Winfree of Lakewood; five grandchildren; and sister, Judy Everson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jody Lynn; sisters, Ada May Neff, Nancy Lou Deiger, Martha Oliver and Alberta Ludt; brother, Nick Deiger; and niece, Nancy Lou Deiger.
In accordance with his wishes, no calling hours or services will be scheduled.
