James R. Clow 1942-2025

PALMER, Alaska – James Ronald Clow, 82, left this world to be reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Mae.

James was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Cleveland, to George and Rose Clow of New Middletown.

After high school, James chose to enlist in the Army, which eventually led him to Fairbanks, Alaska, where they raised their five children — Barbara, Scott, Tracey, Tina and James.

James devoted much of his career to Wein Airlines, taking on a variety of roles throughout the years. He ultimately concluded his professional journey at ASRC until his retirement in 2007.

Loved ones that cleared the path for James are his parents, George and Rose Clow; brothers, Jack, Dave, Dale, Gary, George (Mary) Ahkiviana, Archie (Carolyn) Ahkiviana and James (Garnett) Ahkiviana; sisters, Shirley, Susan and Molly Rosa; and granddaughter, Holly M. Robinson.

Loved ones that will miss James are his brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Clow and Tom (Cheri) Clow; sisters, Sandy (Paul) Hixson and Sharon (Tim) Pink; sons, Scott (Ruth) Clow and James (Josselyn) Clow; and daughters, Barbara (Ricky) McMillan, Tracey (Raymond*) Wells and Tina (Jon) Fulford. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, River Mae; countless nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.

A celebration of life will be held in Fairbanks, Alaska, with the date and time to be announced in 2026.
