James A. Hassage 1940-2025

BROOKFIELD — James A. Hassage, age 84, of Brookfield Township, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
James was born Nov. 15, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of Andrew and Josephine Gallas Hassage. He was a 1958 graduate of Brookfield High School.
For 30 years, he was a line worker at General Motors Lordstown, retiring in 2000. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard.
James was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War, was a member of Hubbard VFW Post 3767 and was a life member of the NRA.
His wife, the former Judith A. Hapcic, whom he married March 24, 1973, passed away Feb. 16, 1998.
He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, with calling hours prior to the Mass from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. James will be laid to rest in Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
