Gloria A. Dunlap 1949-2025

CANFIELD — Gloria Ann Dunlap, 76, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 24, 2025, at Windsor House at Canfield.

Gloria, affectionately known as “Glor,” was born June 22, 1949, in Connellsville, Pa., a daughter of the late Stanley P. and Clara G. Kushnar. She was baptized and attended St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and School in Perryopolis, Pa., and was a 1967 graduate from Frazier High School in Perryopolis, Pa.

Gloria was a secretary to the board of trustees and administrator of Austintown Township for 24 years, retiring in 2011. She previously worked for the former First Federal Savings and Loan Association for 10 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish, formerly active in the Women’s Renewal Team and Prayer Chain. Gloria was a hard worker who had great pride in maintaining an immaculately clean and beautiful home. Her strong faith, her work ethic and her values were an inspiration to her son. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed vacations to Las Vegas, reading, cooking and baking, tending to her flowers, and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey; her son, Mark, and his wife, Krista, and a grandson, Mason of Austintown; sister, Veronica Kushnar of Star Junction, Pa.; a nephew, Brian Layhue, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and cousins.

Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rena Kushnar.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at St. Joseph Parish, where friends may call for one hour prior to Mass.
