Edward J. Philibin 1949-2025
LAS VEGAS — Edward J. Philibin, 76, died Saturday, May 17, 2025, at St. Rose Siena Hospital, Henderson, Nevada.
Born April 16, 1949, in Youngstown, he was a son of the late John P. and Dorothy Bertin Philibin.
Edward served with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam.
Retiring from Mahoning County Engineers in 1998 as an equipment operator, Ed decided it was time to live where the sun was always shining and moved to Las Vegas.
He worked for MGM International (Bellagio) for 11 years before retiring the second time.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Nicole (Lake) Baum of Columbiana; son, Patrick Philibin of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren, Noah Salopek and Emerson Baum. Ed leaves two loving siblings, Maryann (Richard) Dieter and John (Donna) Philibin.
Ed leaves behind many great friends who will always remember his corny stories and his phone calls, just to catch up.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no memorial service.
