Christine D. Anderson 1923-2025

Christine was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Cleveland, a daughter of Dennis and Anna Graham Dunning.

She was a 1941 graduate of Euclid Central High School. She attended the East Cleveland School of Business and Cleveland College while working as a bookkeeper at General Electric.

She married William L. Anderson on Sept. 18, 1948, and soon after, devoted herself to raising her family. She was a fixture at her sons’ baseball games and a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan.

Christine returned to the workforce in 1970, working as a merchandising associate at JCPenney in Boardman and later in Cupertino, California, where she retired in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, who died June 15, 1973, and daughter-in-law, Becky.

She is survived by her two sons, Dennis Anderson of Stetson, Maine, and Gary Anderson of Youngstown, with whom she resided. She leaves grandchildren, Wren Anderson and Robin Anderson, both of Portland, Oregon, and great-granddaughter, Lucia.

Friends may contribute to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Christine’s name.

Per Christine’s request, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
