Charles M. Hrynko 1943-2025

CANFIELD — Charles M. “Charlie” Hrynko, 82, passed away Saturday evening, June 14, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, with his family by his side.
Charlie was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Mary Yarwick Hrynko. He grew up on the South Side of Youngstown and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1962.
He worked for Commercial Shearing / Intertech for 17 years and later for TAMCO, from where he retired in the early 2000s, following another 17 years of service.
Charlie was a longtime member of St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church. He enjoyed sitting on his porch watching birds, visiting casinos – both locally and in Las Vegas and New Jersey – and, most of all, traveling and spending time with his family.
Mr. Hrynko is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bernice Hammond Hrynko, whom he married April 11, 1970, at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church; his three sons, Stephen M. (Nancy) Hrynko of Massillon, Robert C. (MaryAnn) Hrynko of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Mark J. Hrynko of Canfield; two grandsons, Brock and Brent; and his sister, Patty Reardon of Canfield.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lori Michelle.
Family and friends may gather to pay respects 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
Private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
