William R. Hill 1941-2025

William was born April 6, 1941, in Brush Valley, Pa., a son of Mailen and Opal Rhine Hill.

He had worked for the Pennsylvania State Game Commission, later was a welder for Youngstown Welding & Engineering, and Astro Shapes in Struthers.

William was a member of Central Christian Church, and enjoyed hunting.

William will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family: his wife, the former Mary E. McCurdy, whom he married Sept. 28, 1963; his son, John Hill of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his daughter, Deborah (William) Maust of Canfield; and three grandchildren, Collin Maust, Joshua Maust and Christian Maust. He also leaves his brother, Wendell Hill of Homer City, Pa.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris McCombs.

There will be calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

William will be laid to rest in Brush Valley Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
