Kenneth Bledsoe 1947-2025

STRUTHERS — Kenneth H. Bledsoe Sr. of Struthers passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Ken was born March 22, 1947, to Arthur and Wilma Smith Bledsoe.
Ken was the first deaf mail carrier in Ohio, a job he retired from after 32 years of service. He was owner of Bledsoe Lawn Service for over 45 years with his sidekick and friend, Richard Buck. He was a prize-winning dog handler, former president of the Youngstown Deaf Club, president of the Association for the Deaf and current member of the Warren Deaf Club, and was highly active in the deaf community. He was the recipient of the May Vetterlee Award for outstanding individual who served as a role model in the deaf community.
Ken was an avid motorcycle enthusiast for many years. He was a member of Boricuaa Motorcycle Association, Llama Motorcycle Association, where he was a prospect, and a current member of the Tainos Motorcycle Association, where he served on the board as the business manager.
He leaves two sons, Kenneth Bledsoe Jr. of Youngstown and Ryan (Zuma) Bledsoe of Maryland; daughter, Kayla (Ryan) Ruth of Ravenna; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; Barbara Garner of Virginia and Jane Richards of North Carolina; brother, Daniel (Mayme) Bledsoe of North Carolina; and fiance and love of his life, Dena Haren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judy Clark and Brenda Bledsoe; and three brothers, Raymond, Arthur and Michael
Family and friends may pay their respects 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a memorial service at noon.
