John S. Slosnerick 1946-2025

BOARDMAN — John Stephen Slosnerick, 78, passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born Dec. 8, 1946, in New Castle, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Matilda Bello Slosnerick.

John graduated from New Castle High School and later earned a degree in economics from Youngstown State University. He spent over 55 years as an electrical engineer and later a partner at Phoenix Engineering, where he worked until his death.

An avid traveler, he and his wife spent their over 31 years together traveling around the country, and after her passing, he continued this passion with his son, Jason. By the end of his life, he had gone on to see 48 of the 50 states and 43 of the 63 national parks in the United States, a hobby that he and his son shared together with great joy each year.

He is survived by his son, Jason Slosnerick of Boardman.

In addition to his wife and parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Carol.

Family and friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, OH 44514.
