John Kenneth Zahorsky 1953-2025

CAMPBELL — John Kenneth “Kenny” Zahorsky, 72, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 19, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Kenny was born Jan. 2, 1953, in Youngstown. He was the son of John and Margaret Bradish Zahorsky.

He was a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area and graduated in 1970 from Campbell Memorial High School.

Kenny was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell. He was also a member of the St. Michael Civic Club.

From 1971-1977, Kenny worked as a laborer at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company, and also worked at Roosevelt Park for 13 years.

We’ll remember Kenny’s laid-back attitude, love of music and movies, and passion for world history.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, George Michael Zahorsky of Dallas, Texas.

The Zahorsky family has entrusted John’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to noon Monday, May 5, 2025, at St. Michael Byzantine Church in Campbell, followed by a Divine Liturgy at noon, officiated by the Very Rev. Kevin Marks.

Interment will take place in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
