Jacqueline R. Mudryk 1932-2025
STRUTHERS — Jacqueline R. Mudryk, 92, a lifelong resident of Struthers, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Jacqueline, better known as Jackie, was born Dec. 11, 1932, in Youngstown to Mary Louise and Richard Kane. She had two brothers whom she loved deeply — an older brother, Richard “Dick” Kane, and a twin brother, John “Jack” Kane.
Jackie was a proud graduate of Ursuline High School, Class of 1951. After high school, she worked at McKelvey’s department store with her grandmother as a clerk. There she met co-worker, Elizabeth “Liz” Yanek, who introduced Jackie to the love of her life, Liz’s brother, Anthony. On March 4, 1967, Jackie married Anthony “Bud” Mudryk.
Mrs. Mudryk was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish in Struthers. She enjoyed cooking and baking, being most famous for her peanut butter cookies and peach marlow ice cream. She also enjoyed her word searches, crossword puzzles and Yahtzee. Jackie was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and loved to share about her background every chance she got, but most of all, Jackie loved and cherished time spent with her family and friends.
Jackie is survived by her two children, Lisa Schiavi (Donald Simione) of Struthers and Gary (Lisa) Mudryk of Struthers; four grandchildren, Gianna, Anthony, Alex and Gary; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Mudryk was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Anthony “Bud” Mudryk; her mother and father; and her two brothers.
Family and friends may gather to pay their respects 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Christ Our Savior Parish-St. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m.
A luncheon, in celebration of Jackie’s life, will be held afterward in the downstairs of the church.
The family would like to share their thanks and appreciation to all of the Maplecrest Nursing Home staff who were nothing but supportive and such sweet friends to Jackie.
