Gloria J. Steffey 1947-2025

She was born Aug. 31, 1947, in Lewistown, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Catherine Shingler Lockland.

After graduating from Austintown Fitch High School in 1965, Gloria finished her education at Youngstown State University.

She taught at Chaney High School and went on to work at Bank One, Calvary Baptist Church and Abundant Harvest Church, where she worshiped.

Gloria was an avid reader and sang in the Kathryn Kuhlman Choir.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, James A. Steffey, whom she married March 25, 1972; sister, Dolores Lockland; and many friends from church.

Friends may call 10 to 10:50 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., officiated by her friend, Pastor Joann Pangio.

She will be laid to rest in Lake Park Cemetery.
