Darlene Y. McIntire 1941-2025
NILES — Darlene Yvonne McIntire, 83, passed away on Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2025, at Mercy Health Austintown Medical Center.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1941, in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of Francis and Inez
Olsen Pazderic.
Darlene worked in the laundry department at the Glenview Manor Nursing Home in Mineral Ridge for more than 30 years. She loved polka music and enjoyed dancing, baking, reading and watching her soap operas daily.
Darlene is survived by a daughter, Tammy Reed-Skiba of Niles; a son, Michael (Megan) McIntire of Niles; two grandchildren, Jack McIntire and Abbey Reed; a sister, Susan Hall of Gridley, California; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Millette; and former husband, John E. McIntire.
A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, where family and friends may call two hours prior to the service. The Rev. David Conrad of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Niles, will officiate.
