Anna M. Hammond 1958-2025
YOUNGSTOWN — Anna Marie Hammond, 66, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 15, 2025.
Anna was born Sept. 22, 1958, in Youngstown, to the late Abraham and Winifred Clark Hammond.
A woman of grace, strength, and generosity, Anna lived a life filled with love for her family, her community and the beauty of nature. She owned and operated several floral shops throughout her life, where she poured her heart into her passion for horticulture. Her floral arrangements were more than just work — they were expressions of her creativity, kindness and her deep connection to life’s natural beauty.
For over 20 years, Anna proudly served the Boardman School System, finding joy in various roles, from working in the cafeteria and janitorial services to most memorably becoming a bus driver. She cherished her time getting to know every child on her route and greeted them with warmth and sent them home safely with care.
Anna was deeply devoted to her family. She leaves behind her sons, Noah (Nicole) Kenreigh, Christopher (Kaewta) Kenreigh and Dylan (Breanna) Kountz; and her daughter, Lee Antoinette (Erika Miller) Kountz. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Rosemary, Orion and Elio, who brought her endless joy. Anna is also survived by her sisters, Helen E. Elliot and Christina “Tina” Hammond; and her brother, Jim Hammond.
She is now reunited in peace with her loving parents and her brother-in-law, Gary Elliot.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025, followed by a Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Maron Maronite Catholic Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, OH 44511.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
Anna’s legacy is one of unconditional love, unwavering service, and a heart that embraced everyone she met. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
