William J. Jones 1946-2025

William was born March 14, 1946, to William and Florence Walters Jones in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Business College and he went on to attend Dyke College in Cleveland.

William served in the United States Navy in Vietnam aboard the USS Long Beach. He was honorably discharged after four years of service.

He then went on to his career at Valley Industrial Trucks, from which he retired after 39 years as a sales coordinator and outside salesman.

After retirement, William volunteered with Trumbull Mobile Meals, delivering food to shut-ins in the Brookfield and Hubbard areas. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles.

William is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Anne Zavodny Jones; his daughter, Christine (Jeff) Yoder; and his son, Todd (Tammie) Jones. He also leaves three grandchildren, Daniel Yoder, Savannah Jones and Scott Jones.

His family will gather for services in private.
