Theodore J. Spencer 1946-2025

CAMPBELL — Theodore J. “Ted” Spencer, passed away unexpectedly at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his family, Monday, March 31, 2025.
Ted was born Dec. 14, 1946, in Youngstown, the son of John V. Spencer and Marie Hasapes Spencer. He was a 1964 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
Ted married his high school sweetheart, Jennie Angeline Yacovone, on Sept. 17, 1964. He worked for the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Boardman office and later for the Ohio Turnpike Commission until his retirement.
As an avid outdoorsman, Ted enjoyed hunting and fishing, including his many fishing trips to Canada. More so, he cherished the memories he made with family and friends at the lake house they built at Pymatuning Lake. Ted also enjoyed time spent proudly in his vegetable garden, winemaking, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and music concerts. He was a proud member of the Carovellesi Men’s Society.
Ted will be deeply missed and always remembered by his wife, Jennie; his children, Eileen Waring, John Spencer, Chad (Stella) Spencer and Jeremy Spencer; grandchildren, Krista (Daron) Clinkscale, Dennis Waring, TJ Spencer, Alayna Spencer, Giana Morales and Benjamin Spencer; and great-granddaughters, Elliana and Alora. He also leaves his sisters, Peggy Munyasya and Sharon (Dr. Robert) Hermanowski; and brother-in-law, George (Sandy) Yacovone; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were grandson, Robert J. Waring; mother-in-law, Lucia Yacovone; father-in-law, Stefano Yacovone; in-laws, Titus Munyasya, Ernesto and Maria Yacovone, Angelo and Matilda Marino; and his lifelong friend, Joe “the Greek” Georgiadis.
Private services were held Friday, April 11, 2025.
