Cindy Larson 1971-2025
YOUNGSTOWN — Cindy Larson, 53, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at her home.
Born May 4, 1971, in Youngstown, she was a daughter to James “Jim” and Jeanette Williams Larson of Poland.
Cindy graduated from Brookville High School in Lynchburg, Virginia. She went on to earn her associate degree from the University of Illinois.
Cindy had an immense love for animals, working many years as a veterinary technician, most recently for Ebert Animal Hospital, along with various other animal clinics. Cindy expressed her tender love and care to the many rescued animals that she opened her home to.
She met the love of her life, Kirk; the two shared 11 beautiful years of marriage.
She enjoyed reading and collecting anything that was cat-related. You could often find her and Kirk going to medieval shows and often participating with the “Great Dark Hourde.” One of her proudest roles had to do with archery, successfully hitting the bullseye from 80 yards.
She enjoyed nothing more than being a loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt.
In addition to her parents, Jim and Jeanette Larson of Poland, she is survived by her husband, Kirk Owen of Pittsburgh; sister, Becky Anderson of Boardman; niece, Alexis Anderson; nephew, Kristopher (Natalie, fiancé) Anderson; great-nephews and -niece, Newton, Lucas and Ivy; and beloved aunt, Barbara Woods of Boardman; as well as many extended family members.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2025, and 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service, Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, OH 44514.
