Margaret A. Arvin 1932-2025
CANFIELD — Margaret A. Arvin, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Windsor House of Canfield.
Margaret was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Anna Farkas Gerlick.
She married George Arvin on April 21, 1956. She was originally from Campbell and moved to Youngstown after marriage.
Margaret was a very kind soul who was always willing to help others. She was fun loving, silly and appreciative, and found great joy in her grandchildren. She cherished her time taking them for walks and singing them songs when they were very young.
Margaret had been a parishioner of Infant Jesus Church and found peace in prayer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sueann (Rick) McLemore; her granddaughters, Jessaca Brickley (Justin Duarte) and Kaitlyn (Kyle) Posey; her grandson, Joshua Humphrey; her step-grandson, Tyler McLemore; her great-granddaughter, Amelia Humphrey; sister-in-law, Donna; goddaughter, Tara; a brother, Albert; and many friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, George; sister, Helen; and brother, John; as well as four angel babies.
The Arvin family has entrusted Margaret’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, where a celebration of life ceremony will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025. Friends and family will be received 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6:30 p.m., officiated by Fr. Michael Farynets.
