George E. Fischer Jr. 1939-2025

He was born Dec. 23, 1939, to George and Mary Fischer in Homestead, Pa.

He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Hancock from 1956 until 1960. Upon leaving the Navy, he was employed as a letter carrier for 33 years by the U.S. Postal Service.

He leaves his wife, Evelyn Janet Fischer; his son, Steve; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He also leaves two stepchildren, Dean and Renee Shelton.

George was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Bob Fischer.

Private services were held

Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home handled all of the arrangements for the family.
