YOUNGSTOWN -- Jean Ann Hull, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born on May 15, 1938, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Minnio.
She married William "Bill" E. Hull, who was the love of her life, July 4, 1959.
Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was a beautiful example to all who knew her of love, laughter and strength. Together Jean and William created a beautiful family and raised their children, Michael, Korine and Anita.
After years of working outside of the home, Jean began her most treasured job of watching over and taking care of her six grandchildren, and then her great-grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved.
Jean's favorite pastimes included playing bingo, and "going for a ride," as she called it, to the casino. She also loved watching her Cleveland Browns try to get a win. Above all else, the most important thing to Jean was her family. She was at her happiest when William and she were together with all their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially found absolute joy in every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going to their sporting events to having Sunday dinners and cookouts.
Jean leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 65 years, William; her twin sister, Joan (Ernest) Gardner; her children, Michael (Lora) Hull, Korine (James) Rach and Anita (Robert) Krohn; her grandchildren, CJ (Rachel) Rach, Alyssa (Sean) Patrick, Katie (Steve) McManus, Brock (McKenzie) Hull, Nicholas Krohn and Sydney (fiance Neil Bevacqua) Hull; great-grandchildren, Sophia Rach, Hudson Rach, Cole McManus, Grayson McManus, Rowan Patrick, Reagan Patrick and Brady Hull; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, Jack and Mary Hull, and Charlene and Frank Horvatich, many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Lilly.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Louise Giampetro and Vera DeGenaro; and her in-laws, William and Pearl Hull.
Jean's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Reese family and the Briarfield Place family, including all the nurses, aides, and nutritional and custodial staff who loved and cared for Jean. We will be eternally thankful for each one of you.
Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.
Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel Ave., Youngstown.
