James E. Pisano 1989-2025

LAKEWOOD — James Earl “Jimmy” Pisano passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025.

Born July 31, 1989, in Alliance, Jimmy lived a vibrant and impactful life that touched the hearts of many.

Jimmy was the cherished son of Nicholas and Terry Pisano, and the beloved brother of Nic Pisano (m. Ashley) and Marlena Gibson. He was the “fun, crazy uncle” to his nephews, Colton and Quinton Pisano, and his niece, Elliott Gibson. His life was enriched by the deep bond he shared with his best friend and girlfriend, Chelsey Ferringer, and by the unconditional (and mutual!) adoration of his dog, Clea.

Jimmy was raised in the tenets of Christianity and made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross at an early age. His family can see God’s great mercy and goodness through the many ways he blessed others.

A highly respected cardiac surgery nurse with an MBA, Jimmy dedicated himself to medicine with unwavering passion. As a preceptor, he guided countless colleagues with compassion and expertise, leaving an indelible mark on their careers. He was always on standby to help family members or friends in their own health journeys.

Beyond his profession, Jimmy found joy in celebrating his Italian heritage through cooking and winemaking — traditions he loved to share with others.

An adventurer at heart, Jimmy traveled the world to destinations like Egypt, Turkey, Italy, Germany and Ireland. He was known for his larger-than-life personality and razor-sharp sharp wit — and for being a friend to many, ready and willing to lend a hand. He never did anything halfway, finding excitement and creating shenanigans wherever he went. He embraced life fully — a force to be reckoned with, seizing every bit of vitality out of every moment. His memory will forever motivate others to live boldly and laugh often.

Jimmy had a heart for families in medical need. For anyone wishing to honor him, please consider a donation to The Bowen Family Assistance Fund at the Transplant House of Cleveland.

“Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible.” — G.B. Shaw.

All people die, but not all people live. Jimmy certainly did. May he inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him to never miss an opportunity to burn brightly.

A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at Upper Room Fellowship, Columbiana.
