Rose M. Abrams 1936-2025

GIRARD — Mrs. Rose Marie Abrams, 88, transitioned from this life to eternal rest, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at her home, with her family at her side.

Mrs. Abrams was born Feb. 19, 1936, in Youngstown, a daughter of George and Nettie Collins Ingram. She was employed with General Motors Lordstown for 40 years.

Rose was of the Baptist faith.

She enjoyed bingo, baking, attending jazz concerts and taking bus trips to casinos. She was noted for her pound cakes, and mac and cheese.

She leaves to cherish her beloved memory, two sons, Randall (Sharron) Napier of Liberty and Keith Steward of Cleveland; a daughter, Sharon Napier of Columbus; 11 grandchildren, Robert “Troy” Napier, Ebony Napier, Tecokoa Irving, Corray (Holly) Irving, Kendall (Rachel) Irving, Moses, David, Theresa Lewis, Jessica Steward, Sierra (Justin) Napier-Leach and Shanese Napier; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lee Abrams, whom she married in 1968; and siblings, Andrew, Leroy, Eugene, Fred, George Jr., Patricia Henry, Gertrude Ingram and Dorothy Cowan.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home, Youngstown, with funeral services at noon.
