LAS VEGAS -- James Lawrence Donnan, 75, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1949, in Youngstown, to parents George and Marion Waldvogel Donnan.
Jim was a graduate of Youngstown State University where he later taught and coordinated internships for their telecommunications department. His expertise and career thrived in radio. He was the director of the Youngstown Radio Reading Service at the Society for the Blind until his retirement. Jim was also incredibly committed to his service work as a charter member of the Austintown Lions Club. He had a passion for reading, sports and his family. Jim encouraged and inspired all who knew him.
Jim is loved and missed by his wife of 46 years, Denise; his daughters, Christine and Kelly (Brian) Crum; his grandchildren, Ruby Ann, James Allen and Daniel Arthur; his siblings, Robert (Judy) Donnan, Richard (Terry) Donnan and Debra Wall; and his many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services or calling hours.
