Nancy Price 1936-2024

Nancy was born April 14, 1936, in Van, W.Va., the daughter of the late Wilmer and Ruth Acree Scott.

Nancy was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald, where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. Nancy loved to socialize with family and friends, and was a kind loving person to whomever she met. In her younger years, she enjoyed doing ceramics and bowling.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Shelda (John) Mattessich of Orlando, Florida, and Robbie Price of Erie, Pa.; sister, Marie “Goldie” Peterson of Titusville, Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, whom she married Feb. 18, 1956, and who died Sept. 25, 2015; her son, William “Bill” Price; her sister, JoAnn Roberts; her brothers, Max Scott, Rex Scott and Terry Scott; and daughter-in-law Christine Price.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald. Family and friends may gather 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.

Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband in Kerr Cemetery in Mineral Ridge.
