Carole R. Vitt 1947-2024
POLAND — Carole Ruth Vitt, 77, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 3, 2024, at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center in Columbiana, surrounded by her family.
Carole was born April 16, 1947, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Russell and Geraldine Malmfeld Dorcas.
She graduated from Boardman High School in 1964 and was a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley.
Carole worked as a data processor for Ohio Utilities Protection Services in Liberty for seven years before retiring in 2012.
She was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and sister. Carole enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her free time, she was an avid reader and loved animals, especially cats and dogs.
Carole is survived by two daughters, Christa D. (Jim) Blythe of Dublin and Megan J. Vitt of Poland; four grandchildren, Wynter Vitt, Ty Blythe, Piper Blythe and Leah Blythe and; her sister, Diane (Bob) Anderson of Austintown.
Besides her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Dorcas.
Per Carole’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
