Karen Swank 1965-2024

She was born Feb. 19, 1965, in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter of Amel and Georgiann Marchwinski Bucholtz.

Karen had worked on the Jones Wealth Management Team at Merrill Lynch and served as an Assistant Vice President and Business Manager.

She was a member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Columbiana, and enjoyed playing Bunco with a group of good friends over the past few years. She enjoyed the performing arts and loved watching both her daughters grow up with large involvement in dance. Karen had a deep love for her family and cherished the time she spent with them and always looked forward to Sunday dinners.

Karen is survived by her husband, Bryan Swank, whom she married Aug. 26, 1995; two daughters, Sarah (John) Butine of Canton and Alyssa Swank of Columbiana; her mother, Georgiann Bucholtz; four brothers, Amel (Sheila) Bucholtz of Arizona, Mark (Heather) Bucholtz of Columbiana, Scott (Lisa) Bucholtz of Columbiana and Tim Bucholtz of Columbiana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Amel Bucholtz.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Columbiana, with Father Chad Johnson officiating.

Burial will take place in Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
