Sandra L. Loper 1949-2024

She was born April 22, 1949, in Akron, a daughter of the late Floyd and Betty Dye Limburg.

Sandy was a 1967 graduate of Akron Springfield High School and worked as a travel agent for several years prior to retiring.

She married Troy E. Loper on Nov. 22, 1969. They shared almost 55 years of marriage and many wonderful memories together. He survives her.

Sandy was a member of the Smith Corners Church in Austintown, where she was very active in the Women’s Circle and she loved serving their monthly Supper At The Corners meal to the public. She also enjoyed baking and embroidery, and her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her husband, Sandy is survived by two children, Teresa (Gary) Madorno of Poland and Aaron (Samantha) Loper of Salem. She also leaves behind two brothers, John Limburg, of Massillon and Scott (Cynthia) Limburg of Coshocton; five beloved grandchildren; Connor, Carly, Parker, Paige and Deanna; and a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joan Ritzman; and a sister-in-law, Candace Limburg.

Memorial services for Sandy will be held at the Smith Corners Church in Austintown at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Akeso Home Care and Hospice, 6600 Summit Drive, Canfield, OH 44406, in Sandy’s memory.

Arrangements for Mrs. Loper are being provided by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.
