Paul D. Noble 1938-2024
NEW MIDDLETOWN — Paul Douglas Noble graduated to his eternal home, Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024. He was 86 years old.
He was born in Coitsville Township on Aug. 19, 1938, son of William and Marjorie Williams Noble. Paul’s life was dedicated to family, service and faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ.
He graduated from North High School in 1956 and served his country honorably in the Army.
Paul worked in engineering and sales in the steelmaking equipment industry. He worked for several companies, including Wean United, Mannesmann Demag Wean and George Mitchell Company. He was general manager of Quality Bar and Ohio Cold Drawn Steel, retiring from the steel industry at 62. He enjoyed connecting with people during important life events in his second career as a limousine driver.
He was a member of Coitsville Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder, Sunday school superintendent, Boy Scout master and youth leader. He treasured his most recent church community, New Creation Fellowship, and his personal friend and pastor, Joe Congemi.
Paul enjoyed singing. He was a tenor in the Barbershop Quartets of America and in the Coitsville Presbyterian Church choir.
Paul enjoyed spending time with family, golf, gardening, landscaping, board games, card games, woodworking, remodeling and building cigar-box guitars.
Paul was a friend to many and shared his faith in Jesus Christ often with family, friends and colleagues.
Paul leaves his wife of 30 years, the former Valerie Popa. He leaves his son, Kevin (Nancianne); daughter, Kim Francart (Rick); stepsons, George and John (Lynn) Popa, whom he loved like his own; grandchildren, Allise Noble, Eric Noble (Melody), Ricky Francart (Brittany) and Lucy Popa; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Margarite Toth Noble; and brothers, Ronald Noble (Valda) and David Noble (Pat).
The family would like to thank Valerie’s best friend, Aileen Moulin, Pastor Joe Congemi, and Pastor Drew and Emily Mountcastle for their faithful support during this very difficult time.
Family and friends may pay their respects 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, followed by a 7 p.m. funeral service.
