Lois ‘Becky’ Paxton 1929-2024
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Lois “Becky” Paxton, 95, formerly of McDonald, peacefully passed away in her sleep, Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Becky was born Sept. 13, 1929, in McDonald, the daughter of John S. and Edna Mong Evans.
She is survived by her children, Robert “Larry” L. (Kristin) Paxton, Kathy (Robert) Birch and Keith “Kip” I. (Tammy) Paxton, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Robert I. Paxton, whom she married Aug. 9, 1947, and who died Aug. 18, 2011; and her son, Jeffrey E. Paxton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends 10 to 11 a.m., and also 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024.
Becky will be laid to rest in Girard City Cemetery next to her husband and son.
