Lois Anne Engelhardt 1952-2024

AUSTINTOWN — Lois Anne Engelhardt, 72, passed away peacefully, Friday evening, Oct. 11, 2024.

She was born March 26, 1952, in Youngstown, the daughter of Rees and Hellen Lambert Engelhardt, and was a lifelong area resident.

Lois was a 1970 graduate of South High School and continued her education at Youngstown State University, where she earned an associate degree in applied sciences. She was employed for over 15 years as a child care provider.

Lois was a member of Old North Church and took an active role with the Girl Scouts of America, where she was a Scout leader. She also did volunteer work with the American Red Cross and Angels for Animals.

Lois will always be remembered for her commitment to Jesus Christ and passion for animals.

Lois will always be remembered by her siblings, Robert (Jackie) Engelhardt, Bill Engelhardt and Lynne (Tom) McCloskey; her nieces, Terri (Ralph) Engelhardt-Winiarski, Wendy (John) Schneider and Lauralee McCloskey; her nephews, Ross (Jennifer) McCloskey, Rees Engelhardt, Bill (Brandi) Engelhardt and Ritchiz Englehardt; her great-nieces and -nephews, Tommy, Michael, Ross, Alex McClosky, Owen, Chuck, Emily Schneider, Grace and Wyatt Engelhardt, and Rylie and Colton Miller; along with her good friend, Robyn Pickett; and many other friends and her church family.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and nephew, Eric McCloskey.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10 to 10:55 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, Canfield, where a memorial service will take place at 11 a.m., with Pastor Rick Enlow as celebrant.

A private burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, Pa.
